Fuzzy Musings

I think I used to have one of these once and maybe it's time to have one again.

I'm a mother of three - girls, all fandom obsessed - on the downward slide to middle age. I'm a homeschooler who doesn't fit the 'stereotype' since I'm neither a religious right-winger (or religious at all) nor a a member of the granola crunching left. I'm just kinda hanging out in the middle and stuffing an education into the kids at home because I've seen enough of what goes on in the schools and read enough of how it's designed and ordered to know it's not a place I want my kids.

Much more likely to be of interest to anyone who's bothering to read this; I'm an X-Men (mostly Nightcrawler) obsessed ficcer who somehow lost her way in the world o fon-line, forum based role-playing and has never quite gotten back to the ficcing part of the program since, though I do keep telling myself I'm going to one of these days. I mostly play Kurt in assorted 'verses but also have tried my hand at Logan, Sam Guthrie, Raven Darkholme, Victor Creed, Sebastian Shaw, Professor X (hate playing him but someone's gotta NPC baldy), Thor, Pietro and Wanda Maximoff and...assorted others who just aren't coming to mind at the moment.

I've somehow managed to wander away from forum RP and gotten sucked into the world of real time, journal based gaming and it doesn't look like I'm going back. I currently co-admin an Insane Journal based VERY AU X-verse game called After the Fall (any version of any established X-character from any 'verse, game or private AU is welcome, including multiples) and am having the time of my life playing with an incredible group of people. I love me some angst and drama but I prefer it generously intermixed with humor and fluff.

I'm not a 'shipper' per se and will read pretty much anything decently written that gives Kurt any significant 'screen time', regardless of pairing or lack thereof. Sadly, the 'decently written' caveat tends to be a huge stumbling block as there's so very little fic that fits that requirement. I friend people who post about things I find interesting though I myself tend to post very little of any potential interest to anyone but myself and the people I play with so I certainly don't expect to see much friending back...though I certainly don't mind if you do. I'm lazy, so I pretty much never bother to clear out my flist, even when folks drift away. It's not that long anyway and, yeah...the lazy.

And that was likely more than was even vaguely necessary but, what the heck, it's my bio and I'll ramble if I want to. ;)
